Forever Active Cambridgeshire
Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:subscriber],
Welcome to the September newsletter. We hope that you have had a good summer and enjoyed the extra freedoms we’ve had since mid-July. But Covid is still with us, and I personally am looking forward to getting a booster during the coming months.

The Forever Active team is working hard along with venues so that everyone can feel safe, so we hope you can enjoy your classes – though not overdoing it if you haven’t been exercising for a while! Read here how to
get ready to return to exercise.

A couple of people have expressed interest in becoming Board members – there’s room for more, so please get in touch if you’d like to join them.

Forever Active Exercise Classes

If you have taken a break from classes over the summer,“please be sure to inform your instructor about any changes to your health or contact details. Alternatively, you can do all updates via your Forever Active Clubz Dashboard, and your instructor/s will be notified of the update.

Do check our website for the latest info about all available classes: online, indoor and outdoor.

September new classes

We are pleased to say that the following classes have started this week:
  • Strength & Balance at Arbury Community Centre, Mondays with Davina
  • Strength & Balance at Barnwell Baptist Church, Tuesdays with Anne Johnson.
  • New - Walking Netball for beginners at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground, Thursday with Jane.

October new classes

We are still working hard to re-open classes, and we thank you for your patience. If you were a member and attended your class regularly before March 2020, we will contact you as soon as we have everything in place.

We are aiming to open the following classes in October:

  • Yoga and Zumba Gold at the Meadows
  • Pilates at Trumpington Pavilion
  • T'ai Chi at Church of the Good Shepherd
  • Line dancing, S&B and Pilates at St. Andrews Hall in Chesterton
  • S & B additional class in Over.
If you would like further information, please email
As restrictions have now lifted, some venues allow more people into their halls, so we hope to accommodate more people. However, some classes do have a waiting list, so do not hesitate to contact us if you want to join.

Online & cash payments

For the last year, Forever Active Clubz has used an online payment service for members who wish to pay in this way. Consequently, the amount of cash that instructors now have to carry with them has been reduced substantially.

Of course, cash is still welcome at classes, however just a quick reminder that class fees have now increased to £5 per session from 1st September 2021.

Payments through the post

If you have an email address but sent your membership form and payment via the post, Forever Active Clubz will automatically send you a reminder after 12 months.

Please note that we prefer to use our online payment system through Clubz instead of cash or payments through the mail as this significantly reduces our administrative burden.

Please get in touch with if you would like help to pay via Clubz or should you wish for a form to be emailed to you (your instructor may also have some spare copies).

Save the date

The Forever Active AGM will take place on 18th November 2021. Last year the meeting was held via Zoom, but we hope to provide a venue to meet face to face once again. We will provide further details about the venue and guest speaker in the October newsletter.
