Membership
An optional Forever Active membership has been introduced. Participants have the option to become a Forever Active member and receive the benefits highlighted below. The scheme will still be open to non members.
Cost of Membership
£10.00 for the year. The membership year will run from the beginning of September to the end of August in line with the financial year of the Forever Active Forum.
Interim Payments
Membership is broken down in the following payments depending on what time in the year you join:
- Join between the 1st September and the end of November = £10.00
- Join between the1st December and the end of February = £7.50
- Join between the 1st March and the end of May = £5.00
- Join between the 1st June and the end of August = £2.50
Cost of Sessions
Membership is entirely optional. Non-members will however have to pay 0.50p more per session on selected sessions and will not be eligible for the benefits highlighted below.
Please note Forever Active remains a non-profit making organisation and the majority of the sessions are funded through external grants and fundraising. The membership fees will be used to support the provision of existing sessions and to help further develop the scheme.
Benefits of Becoming a Forever Active Member
- Reduced session fees compared to non-members.
- You will become a full member of Forever Active Forum and invited to meetings.
(Full members will receive agendas and minutes for all meetings and will have a voting right) - You will have priority booking of the classes at Chesterton. Members will be able to ring up to book classes 7 days before compared to non-members who can ring up 5 days before to book.

Becoming a Member
Please send in the membership application form (below)with 2 passport size photos to:

Payment can be made by cheque and please make cheques payable to the ‘Forever Active Forum’.

Forever Active Forum
If you would like to have a say and influence the type of exercise sessions available within Cambridge City for the 50+ age group then come along to this group. Meetings are held every three to four months. The aims of the group are:
- To provide a broad range of exercise and sporting opportunities for local residents aged 50 + as part of the Forever Active Scheme.
- To fundraise to support the work of the group.
- To provide members with the opportunity to give feedback and suggestions related to the scheme
- To promote the organisation within the local community.
- To identify and provide training for Instructors and staff working on the scheme.
- To link with key partners to develop physical activity opportunities for the 50+ age group.
- To identify and address access issues relating to facilities and activities.
- To ensure that all members receive fair and equal treatment
Full membership entitles you to receive agendas, minutes and up to date information. If you would prefer to simply receive up to date information about events and activities, you can register as an associate member.
