Bon Appetit: A FREE session on healthy eating and ideas for creating meals for one/two people.
Everyone Health will be talking to you about current dietary and physical activity recommendations. Discussions on what we can do to improve our health and well-being followed by a taster session about having the confidence to cook quick, tasty, healthy meals with affordable ingredients. There will be a demonstration of a couple of easy recipes and examples of how to combine ingredients to make different, nutritionally balanced meals. There will also be an opportunity to have a go at making something too……

Forever Active AGM
This years AGM took place on 16th November 2017 at the Church Hall in Bar Hill. We were pleased to have two guest speakers, Kate Merrington from Camrowers and Helen Jalal from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, who both gave very informative presentations.

Dementia Workshop and Forum
On Thursday 4th May the Dementia Workshop was held at the Meadows Community Centre.
Forever Active was please to welcome back Edye Hoffmann, director of Dementia Compass, who challenged us to think differently about physical and cognitive health. She addressed the latest research and health news on cognitive impairment (dementia including Alzheimer’s disease as well as mild cognitive impairment) and suggested ways to not only look differently at the health of ourselves and of others but also to live differently.
A great workshop and thank you to everyone that attended.
Swimming – all Forever Active members have access to weekly over 50’s swimming sessions at both Parkside and Abbey swimming pools. For just £2 per session when you show your membership card, you can swim at parkside on Wednesdays or Abbey Pool on Fridays, from 10am-1pm.
